Apopka, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on SR 429

Apopka, FL (April 2, 2023) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on Saturday, April 1st. The accident happened on State Road 429 near County Road 437 at mile marker 41.

According to troopers, the pedestrian was in the southbound lanes of the road when they were struck by an unidentified vehicle. Police arrived, and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity has not been released at this time. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and were diverted away from the scene following the crash.

An investigation is underway. There is no further information available.
