Clearwater, FL - Two Hospitalized in Car Accident on US 19
Clearwater, FL (April 3, 2023) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car accident in Clearwater on Sunday, April 2nd. The crash took place at the intersection of US Highway 19 and Belleair Road.
According to troopers, a Nissan Frontier pickup was traveling southbound on US 19 when the driver ran a red light and collided with a Nissan Altima. The pickup then continued down the road and struck a light pole before coming to rest. Two motorists suffered serious injuries due to the accident, and two others sustained minor injuries. The two victims who were seriously hurt were taken to a local hospital. There is no further word on their conditions at this time.
Police are still investigating the accident. No additional details are available.
