DeLand, FL - 93-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash on S. Adelle Ave.
DeLand, FL (March 22, 2023) - A 93-year-old woman was killed and two others suffered injuries after a crash in DeLand on Tuesday, March 21st. The accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on South Adelle Avenue near West Beresford Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene to investigate the accident. According to troopers, a 2006 Jeep Liberty was approaching the intersection when the driver failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign. As the driver entered the intersection, the vehicle collided with a 2018 Ford Transit van that was traveling on West Beresford.
A 93-year-old female passenger in the van died as a result of the crash. The Ford driver was hospitalized with serious injuries while the Jeep driver suffered minor injuries. The identities of the victims have not been released.
The accident is under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
