Fruitland Park, FL - One Dead in Crash on US 27 at Miller St.

Fruitland Park, FL (February 26, 2023) - A person was killed and several more were injured following a car accident in Fruitland Park on Saturday. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. on US 27/441 near Miller Street.

Police say that the accident involved a black car and at least one other vehicle. Firefighters had to extricate the occupants from the black vehicles because they were transported to a hospital. One person was killed in the collision. Three others were transported to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time. The identity of the injured victim was not released.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. There is no further information available. 

Each year in Florida, about 3,000 people will sadly and tragically lose their lives in car accidents on Florida's roadways. These crashes must be carefully investigated by police in order to determine the cause. Many accidents do affect injured victims and will result in harm to a large number of people.
