Gainesville, FL (March 20, 2023) - Police in Gainesville were called to the scene of an injury crash on Monday, March 20th. The collision took place on NE Waldo Road near the intersection with NE 63rd Avenue.

The Florida Highway Patrol received a call regarding the crash around 7:45 p.m. and arrived at the scene a few minutes later. According to a report, multiple cars were involved and at least one person was injured. The injured victim received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. The cause of the accident was not immediately released. Motorists were told to avoid the area and to use an alternate route of travel if possible.

An investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information available.
