Homosassa, FL - Bicyclist Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on W. Grover Cleveland Blvd.

Homosassa, FL (April 15, 2023) - A bicyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run accident that took place in Homosassa on Friday, April 14th. The crash occurred around 10:25 p.m. on West Grover Cleveland Boulevard.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was traveling eastbound on Grover Cleveland Boulevard when it struck a bicyclist traveling in the same direction. The bicyclist was thrown from his bike and was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. He was later identified as a 49-year-old man from Homosassa. The sedan failed to stop at the scene. Authorities are still searching for the driver at this time.

The crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information available.
