Jacksonville, FL (March 18, 2023) - A man was killed in a car accident that took place in Jacksonville on Friday night. The collision happened around 6:00 p.m. on Lem Turner Road near Braddock Road.

According to a report from the scene, a Jeep was traveling southbound on Lem Turner when it collided head-on with a Nissan that was traveling northbound. The Jeep driver was critically hurt and was taken to a local hospital. The Nissan driver was also rushed to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Neither of the accident victims has been identified at this time. The cause of the crash has not been released. Police are still investigating. No further information is available.

Each day, about eight people will lose their lives in car accidents that occur across our state. The number of innocent victims as a result of these crashes is substantial. Many fatal crashes are caused by careless drivers and could have been avoided through the use of ordinary care and caution.
