Pedestrians are the most vulnerable victims on our roadways. A pedestrian has no protection from the impact of an accident and is extremely likely to be seriously hurt or killed when they are struck by a vehicle. Last year, more than 500 pedestrians lost their lives in Florida traffic accidents. Many of these victims were hurt or killed when they were involved in a crash with a negligent driver.
We would like to offer our condolences to the victim's family following this deadly Jacksonville pedestrian accident.
