Jacksonville, FL - Two Killed in Two-Car Accident on I-295

Jacksonville, FL (November 20, 2021) - Two people lost their lives after a tragic two-vehicle crash in Jacksonville on Friday night. The accident took place around 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 295, just south of Dunn Avenue.

According to reports, a red Mazda and a white Ford SUV were involved in the accident. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction on I-295 when the SUV struck the left side of the Mazda and veered off the road before striking a tree and coming to rest. The crash resulted in the deaths of a 37-year-old man and his 5-year-old son. A 31-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. 

The victims have not been identified. No further details are available.
