Lehigh Acres, FL - 12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Lee Blvd. Pedestrian Crash
Lehigh Acres, FL (March 20, 2023) - A 12-year-old boy was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place in Lehigh Acres on Friday, March 17th. The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. on Lee Boulevard near Joan Avenue North.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling westbound on Lee Boulevard. At the same time, the boy was trying to cross the road when he was hit by the car. The boy was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. He later succumbed to the injuries. No one else was hurt in the accident.
The crash is under investigation by the FHP at this time. There is no further information available.
Pedestrian accidents in Florida can result in serious and fatal injuries. Pedestrians are extremely vulnerable and have nothing to protect them from the full impact of a collision.
