Maitland, FL (April 8, 2023) - The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a fatal car accident in Maitland on Saturday, April 8th. The accident was reported around 8:00 a.m. on Interstate 4 near mile marker 90.

According to a report, there were two vehicles involved in the collision. Both cars suffered heavy damage. When police arrived, they found at least one person suffering from serious injuries due to the crash. The victim eventually succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased motorist has not been revealed at this time. There is no word on what led to the accident.

An investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available. 

Approximately eight fatal car accidents are reported each day in Florida. Deadly car accidents occur for a variety of reasons but are usually attributable to the negligence of at least one of the drivers involved. Police must closely investigate every accident in order to determine the cause.
