Marathon, FL (March 28, 2023) - Police in Marathon were at the scene of a serious crash on Tuesday evening, March 28th. The accident happened on US Highway 1 near mile marker 60.5

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved at least two cars. Major injuries were reported, resulting in a medical helicopter being dispatched to the area. The injured patient was airlifted to a local hospital. There is no word on their condition at this time. It is not clear how the accident took place. Motorists were asked to avoid the scene if possible.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. No further information is available.
