Margate, FL (February 6, 2023) - Authorities in Margate responded to the scene of a fatal crash on Monday, February 6th. The accident happened on NW 1st Street at the intersection with Rock Island Road.

According to police, the accident involved at least two vehicles. One of the cars rolled over following the collision. Paramedics arrived and immediately provided medical aid to the victims. A young girl was rushed to Broward Health in unknown condition. One person was pronounced dead at the accident scene. There is no word on what led to the crash at this time. Police shut down the road while they conducted an investigation. Drivers were told to avoid the area.
