Melbourne, FL - Man killed, Woman Hurt in Motorcycle Crash on Harbor City Blvd.

Melbourne, FL (March 14, 2023) - One person was killed, and another was injured after a car accident in Melbourne on Tuesday, March 14th. The crash took place in the 800 block of Harbor City Boulevard.

According to police, a 20-year-old woman from Satellite Beach was operating a vehicle in a parking lot when she tried to turn onto Harbor City Boulevard. As the woman turned, she pulled directly into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle and the car collided. A 56-year-old woman who was driving the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and died at the scene due to serious injuries. Her male passenger was seriously hurt and was taken to a local hospital.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released. Police are still investigating the accident. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.

Motorcycle accidents in Florida claim the lives of about 500 victims each year. In addition, thousands more will be hurt. Many Florida motorcycle accidents will cause injuries to innocent victims who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
