Naples, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on US 41

Naples, FL (February 25, 2023) - A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place near Naples on Friday, February 24th. The accident was reported around 10:30 p.m. on US Highway 41 near Dixie Road. 

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were called to the scene. According to officials, the pedestrian tried to cross US 41 when they were hit by a northbound Ford Escape. The pedestrian, who was not identified, died at the scene. The driver of the Ford, a 71-year-old man from Michigan, was not injured in the crash and remained at the scene.

An investigation is underway at this time. There is no further information available.

Pedestrians are the most vulnerable accident victims on our roadways and are highly likely to be seriously affected when they are hit by a vehicle.
