Ocala, FL - 81-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash on SR 35
Ocala, FL (March 6, 2023) - An 81-year-old woman was killed in a car accident that occurred in Ocala on Monday, March 6th. The accident happened just after 1:00 p.m. on State Road 35 near Southeast 92nd Loop.
According to a report, a 37-year-old man from Fruitland Park was traveling westbound on Southeast 92nd Loop when he came to a red light at the interaction. The man failed to stop at the red light and entered the intersection, where he collided with a sedan that was traveling southbound. The driver of the sedan, an 81-year-old woman, suffered critical injuries. She was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
Fatal car accidents take place in Florida about once every three hours. Many serious and fatal accidents occur because of driver negligence. Sadly, these collisions can affect innocent victims. There is certainly nothing more devastating than the loss of a loved one in a Florida car accident.
