Ocala, FL - Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on Northeast Jacksonville Rd.
Ocala, FL (April 10, 2023) - A man was killed in a bicycle accident that took place near Ocala on Thursday, April 6th. The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Northeast Jacksonville Road near Northeast 31st Street.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 38-year-old Ocala man was hit by a car and suffered critical injuries. The man died at the crash scene. The driver fled the accident scene. Police have described the vehicle as a silver or gray Chevrolet Suburban. The identity of the victim has not been released. There is no further information on the suspect.
The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no additional information available.
