Palatka, FL - Man Seriously Hurt in Tractor-Trailer Crash on US 17

Palatka, FL (March 17, 2023) - Officials in Palatka were dispatched to the scene of an accident involving a tractor-trailer on Friday morning, March 17th. The crash took place just after 8:00 a.m. on US Highway 17 near T.R. Williams Drive.

According to a report, a tractor-trailer drove past a driveway on U.S. 17 and stopped before backing up toward the entrance. At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling on U.S. 17 and crashed into the back of the truck. The driver of the truck, a 26-year-old Palatka man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The tractor-trailer driver, a 59-year-old man from Miami, was not injured. Neither of the men has been identified at this time.

The accident remains under investigation. No further information has been released.
