San Carlos Park, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on US 41

San Carlos Park, FL (March 6, 2023) - A 26-year-old pedestrian was killed in a crash in San Carlos Park on Monday morning, March 6th. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on US Highway 41 near Whispering Pines Way.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 26-year-old pedestrian was walking on US 41 when he was hit by an oncoming sedan. The pedestrian, who was not identified, died at the crash scene. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Estero, was traveling northbound at the time of the collision. The driver was not injured in the accident. The road was shut down after the collision while police investigated.

There is no word on whether any charges will be filed. No further information is available.
