Sarasota, FL - One Teen Killed, One Hurt in Crash on Beneva Road
Sarasota, FL (April 11, 2023) - Authorities in Sarasota responded to the scene of a deadly car accident on Tuesday morning, April 11th. The crash was reported at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Beneva Road near Webber Street.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling on Beneva Street when the driver lost control. The car left the road, traveled over a curb, and struck a tree. The driver, an 18-year-old woman, died at the crash scene. Her passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries. There is no update on her condition at this time.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. There were no other vehicles involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
