Starke, FL (March 2, 2023) -  Officials with the Bradford County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene of a serious car accident in Starke on Wednesday morning, March 1st. The crash took place on US Highway 301.

According to deputies, one person was killed in the collision, and another was rushed to a trauma center with serious injuries. Fire crews and paramedics responded to assist at the scene. There is no information on what caused the accident to happen, and it is unclear how many vehicles were involved. Traffic was significantly backed up at the scene as drivers were told to find alternate routes of travel if possible.

The identities of those involved were not immediately released. The Florida Highway Patrol also assisted with the investigation.
