Venice, FL - Man Killed, Woman Hurt in Car Accident on Grove St. North

Venice, FL (March 22, 2023) - One person was killed, and another was hurt in a three-car crash in Venice on Wednesday, March 22nd. The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Grove Street North and East Venice Avenue. 

According to the Venice Fire Rescue, a 54-year-old man died, and a 63-year-old woman was critically hurt in the accident. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. The cause of the crash remains unclear. The road was closed for about six hours following the collision. Motorists were asked to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.

There is no further information available at this time.
