An accident left a 51-year-old dead, and now there is a person of interest in the case who is refusing to give information. The Florida Highway Patrol identified somebody who might be responsible for a recent accident who killed a 51-year-old bicyclist on Palm Bay Road this week.
The owner of the suspected vehicle that hit the man left their vehicle in a West Melbourne lot not too far from the scene of the crash. At this time, he is the only suspected person of interest. The driver supposedly swerved into the bike lane on Palm Bay Road for unknown reasons, killing the bicyclist and fleeing the scene.
DNA evidence left in the vehicle could tie the person of interest to the accident. It is currently being investigated at this time.
