Port Richey, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Friday Crash on Ridge Road

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Friday, March 15th. The crash took place around 10:00 p.m., at the intersection of Ridge Road and Custom Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the crash scene to investigate. According to troopers, 56-year-old Donna Goldberg was walking along the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Steven Durfee, 69. Goldberg suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. Durfee remained at the scene following the crash. Police have not said exactly how the crash took place. Read More

Oldsmar, FL - Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Tampa Road

A motorcyclist sustained injuries in a crash along Tampa Road on Friday, March 15th. Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol report that 24-year-old Zachary Mortara was riding his motorcycle westbound on Tampa Road around 11:40 p.m. That is when 18-year-old Kyle Gerber, driving a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, attempted to make a U-turn from the westbound lanes of Tampa Road. Gerber made the U-turn directly in front of Mortara's motorcycle and the two collided. Mortara was taken to a local hospital following the crash. Orlando, FL - 9-Year-Old Boy Among Those Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crash

A multi-car crash in Orlando on Friday, March 15th, left four people hurt, including a 9-year-old boy. The crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. on North Pine Hills Road, near North Lane. According to investigators, multiple vehicles, as well as a motorcycle, were involved in the collision. A 9-year-old boy was trapped inside an SUV following the crash and had to be rescued. A total of four people suffered injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Onlookers described a chaotic scene in which the SUV was mangled and a neighbor said the crash had a loud impact, "like something slamming into a concrete post." Read More

Orlando, FL - One Killed in Crash Involving Bicycle, Semitruck

A crash at on Orange Blossom Trail claimed the life of one person on Friday, March 14th. The collision took place around 4:20 p.m. Police and rescue workers responded to the area, near the intersection with Kaley Street. Initial reports indicate that a semi-truck and a pedestrian were involved in the crash. A mangled bicycle was also seen at the site, lying against a curb. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. Putnam County, FL - Three Killed in Head-On Crash on State Road 100

A head-on crash has claimed the life of three men along State Road 100. The crash occurred on Wednesday, March 13th, around 12:30 p.m. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol report that a Chevrolet flatbed truck hauling cabbage was traveling eastbound on SR-100. Suddenly, the truck driver lost control, causing the truck to veer into the westbound lanes. While in the westbound lanes, the truck collided head-on with a semi-truck. Pinellas Park, FL - Deputy Hurt in Thursday Crash on 49th Street

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputy suffered injuries in a crash with a vehicle at the intersection of 49th Street N and 62nd Avenue. The crash occurred just after 8:30 am on Thursday, March 14th. Deputy Eric Gibson was traveling northbound on 49th in a marked Chevrolet Tahoe. At the same time, 35-year-old Lori M. Zimmerman was driving a Honda Pilot southbound on 49th. Zimmerman was in the left turn lane attempting to turn onto 62nd. As she proceeded to turn, she failed to see Gibson's oncoming vehicle and the two cars collided with one another. Read More

Pinellas Park, FL - Sheriff’s Deputy Among Those Hurt in Fatal Wrong-Way Crash

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputy was injured in a fatal collision that took place on 66th Street N. The crash happened just after 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14th. According to reports, Deputy Jonathan Ferguson had just finished his shift and was traveling northbound on 66th Street in the middle lane. Ferguson was in a marked police vehicle. At the same time, 74-year-old Richard Peterson was traveling northbound on 66th in a 2018 Chevy Equinox. Both Ferguson and Peterson were stopped at a red light. Jacksonville, FL - Fatal Hit-and-Run Reported on US-17

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating following a deadly hit-and-run crash on US-17. The crash happened on Friday, March 15th, near Fleming Island. Troopers say that a semi-truck was traveling near Harbor Drive when it was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Following the collision, the truck continued southbound on US-17.
