Alachua, FL (March 11, 2021) - A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Alachua on Thursday morning. The collision happened on U.S. Highway 441.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 47-year-old man was walking in the southbound lanes of the roadway when he was hit by a car. The unidentified pedestrian died at the accident scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old man was not hurt in the collision. There were no other vehicles or individuals involved. The events leading up to the accident have not been disclosed.
