Belle Glade, FL (September 1, 2019) - A head-on crash in Belle Glade resulted in the death of one man and injuries to others. The collision took place on Friday, August 30th around 9:45 p.m.
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office responded to calls regarding the crash and arrived on the scene. According to deputies, a 34-year-old man identified as Nathaniel Stinson was traveling northbound on SR 15 when he approached a curve. Stinson failed to navigate the curve and struck a vehicle next to him. Following the initial impact, his vehicle veered into the oncoming travel lane where it collided with a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria driven by 28-year-old Stephondria Thomas.
Stinson died from his injuries suffered in the crash while Thomas and a passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word on the nature or extent of their injuries at this time. The crash is under investigation and deputies say that alcohol may have played a role.
