Boca Raton, FL (July 13, 2021) - A woman from Port St. Lucie was killed in a rear-end crash that took place in Boca Raton on Tuesday, July 13th. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near 45th Street.
According to an initial report, the woman from Port St. Lucie was stranded on the side of the highway after her car broke down. As she was standing near the vehicle, a 48-year-old man from Boca Raton was approaching in her direction. The driver saw the woman but was unable to stop in time, striking her car and pushing the vehicle into her. The woman, who was not identified, died at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt. Neither the man nor the woman was immediately identified.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time. No further information is available.
