Boynton Beach, FL (January 2, 2020) - A dirt bike rider suffered serious injuries following a crash with a vehicle in Boynton Beach. The crash took place around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1st.
The Boynton Beach Police Department responded to the 400 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in reference to the accident. According to authorities, 24-year-old Benjamin Burnton was riding a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike eastbound. At the same time, an 81-year-old man was operating a BMW X3 in a westbound direction. The BMW driver made a left turn in front of Burnton's bike, causing a collision. Burnton was thrown from the dirt bike and was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. The BMW driver was not hurt.
Investigators are still looking into the crash. There are no further details available at this time.
