Bradenton, FL (May 8, 2019) - One person is dead following a crash between a vehicle and a tractor-trailer in Bradenton on Wednesday, May 8th. The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. on State Road 62, near County Road 39.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded in reference to a report of the crash. When troopers arrived at the scene, they began an investigation into the events of the collision. Authorities were able to determine that a 2005 Dodge 2500 truck was traveling eastbound on SR 62 when the truck attempted to make a U-turn into the westbound lanes. While turning, the truck was hit by an oncoming tractor-trailer. The Dodge collided with the right front of the tractor-trailer and rotated clockwise before rolling over.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries and was treated. The deceased driver has not been identified at this time.
