Bradenton, FL (September 2, 2019) - A 26-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical injuries following a traffic crash in Bradenton on Sunday, September 1st. The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on State Road 70.
According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, Floyd Lacock was driving his motorcycle westbound on SR 70. Lacock was in the left lane, near 1st Street East when a car driven by 23-year-old Robert Pusey attempted a left-hand turn. Pusey turned directly in front of Lacock's motorcycle, causing a crash between the two vehicles. Lacock was ejected from the bike, which burst into flames after impact.
Lacock was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Pusey sustained minor injuries in the crash. Troopers charged Pusey with failing to yield the right of way to Lacock.
