Bradenton, FL (September 5, 2019) - Two men in a garbage truck were seriously injured in a rollover crash that took place in Bradenton on Tuesday, September 3rd. The crash occurred on 66th Street West around 10:30 a.m.
The accident happened as the truck was approaching 53rd Avenue West. The driver lost control of the truck and overcorrected, causing it to flip over on a grassy shoulder before eventually coming to rest in a retention pond. The 29-year-old driver suffered serious injuries while his 39-year-old passenger sustained critical, life-threatening injuries. Both men were taken to Blake Hospital for treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and no further information has been released.
