Bradenton, FL (February 12, 2019) - A crash on State Road 70 in Bradenton claimed two lives on Tuesday, February 12th. The crash took place just after 12:00 pm.
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Troopers on scene reported that an 87-year-old woman was driving a Mazda when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle. The Mazda crashed then crashed into another vehicle before colliding with a curb and other roadway structures until it finally came to rest.
Both the woman and her passenger, an 87-year-old man, were killed in the crash. The identity of the man and the woman were not released pending notification of their family. The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt in the accident.
