About two pedestrians per day will lose their lives in Florida car accidents. Pedestrian accidents can happen anywhere at any time. Many serious and fatal pedestrian crashes occur in areas such as highways and areas that are poorly-lit where drivers either have difficulty seeing a pedestrian or fail to take proper precautions to avoid hitting a pedestrian in an area where the pedestrian is not normally expected to be. In this crash, it appears as though the pedestrian was actually in the roadway when he was struck. Further investigation will be done to determine why the pedestrian was in the roadway and whether the crash could have been avoided through the exercise of reasonable care by the driver.
