Brevard County, FL (October 5, 2019) - A crash between a golf cart and a car left two teenagers injured in Brevard County on Friday, October 4th. The crash took place near The Avenue shopping center.
Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicate that a 14-year-old and 16-year-old were riding on the golf cart when they collided with a vehicle. Both teens were thrown from the cart following the crash. They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries while the driver of the car was uninjured. Troopers are working to investigate the cause of the crash but there are no further details available at this time. No one involved in the accident has been identified.
We hope that those injured in this Brevard County crash are able to make a complete recovery. Reportable accidents occur in Florida approximately every 92 seconds. While many people are injured in car accidents, any type of vehicle can be involved in a crash. A golf cart offers little protection from the force of impact and crashes involving golf carts and smaller motorized vehicles are likely to lead to serious injuries.
