Bridgewater, FL (June 19, 2018) – A Florida man was killed in a deadly rollover that took his life in Bridgewater on I-495. The incident involved a truck and an ejection.
A 66-year-old man from Florida, whose name has not yet been released, was killed in the deadly rollover when he was thrown from his truck. The incident took place this morning around 6 a.m. on Interstate 495. The man was from Clearwater, according to authorities.
The man was driving his 2001 Toyota Tundra at the time of the accident when he lost control of his vehicle in an accident, causing it to swerve violently and roll near Exit 7. Officials were called to the scene to investigate and found that the man had been ejected from his truck.
The man was taken to the Morton Hospital in Taunton immediately. However, while there, he was pronounced dead after only a few hours. The left northbound lane of I-495 was temporarily closed while police conducted their investigation.
Every three hours in Florida, somebody dies on the roadways due to a fatal accident. Many of the leading causes of these accidents are preventable, from distracted driving and driving drunk to excessive speeding.
