A 17-year-old bicyclist is in serious condition following a collision with a vehicle on Thursday, July 19th. The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. on Alabama Road, near the intersection with Palm Street. According to initial reports, Isaac Quinones was riding his bicycle northbound on Alabama Road when he attempted to make a left turn. As Quinones made his turn, the side of his bicycle collided with a 2007 Chrysler 300 driven by 30-year-old Erwin Arias. Quinones was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. A 57-year-old bicyclist is in critical condition following a crash with a pickup truck. The crash took place around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17th. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to County Road 214 and Hall Lake Road to investigate the crash. According to reports, Lonnie Smith was riding a bicycle when a pickup truck got behind her. The truck, driven by an unidentified female, attempted to pass Smith. Smith then decided to make a left turn and was hit by the pickup truck while making the turn. Middleburg, FL - Bicyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicle on County Road 218

A man from Middleburg was killed in a crash between his bicycle and a vehicle on County Road 218. The crash happened on Wednesday, July 17th around 2:00 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Pine Tree Lane in reference to a car-versus-bicycle crash. When troopers arrived, they located a 69-year-old man suffering from critical injuries. The man was later pronounced dead from the injuries sustained in the collision. He has not been identified at this time. Officials report that the man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a GMC Envoy that was attempting to make a right turn. Putnam County, FL - 16-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies in Crash with Car

A 16-year-old bicyclist died in a crash with a car in Putnam County. The accident took place on Tuesday, July 9th. According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Paul Shamblin was riding his bicycle when he attempted to cross US-17 near East Main Street. A bicyclist died after being hit by a car on US-92 in Polk County. The crash took place around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11th. Police were called to the scene in reference to the collision. According to witnesses, 48-year-old Richard Lee Tallant was driving westbound in a 2018 GMC Sierra, near Ariana Avenue, when he struck the bicyclist. A bicycle crash in Volusia County left a sheriff's deputy dead on Sunday, June 2nd. The crash took place at the intersection of Tomoka Farms Road and Pioneer Trail. According to reports, 58-year-old Frank Scofield, a deputy with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, was riding his bicycle near the intersection when a car traveling in the opposite direction failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver, who was traveling approximately 40 mph, failed to slow down and struck Scofield's bike. Scofield suffered a serious head injury in the collision and was later pronounced dead. A 56-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle across Orange Blossom Trial on Thursday, May 23rd. The crash happened around 11:00 p.m., near the intersection with Orange Vista Boulevard. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol report that Anibal Soto was riding his bicycle northbound across Orange Blossom Trail when he was struck by a Honda Civic. The Civic collided with the left side of Soto's bike. Soto was taken by ambulance to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Civic has not been identified. A bicyclist is dead following a hit-and-run near the Nassau County Line on Saturday, May 18th. The incident happened on US-17 around 9:30 p.m. Police say that the bicyclist was riding on US-17 when they were struck by a passing vehicle. The vehicle, believed to be a truck, fled the scene following impact. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the site of the crash by rescue workers. Clearwater, FL - 49-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Wednesday Crash

A 49-year-old woman was killed after her bicycle collided with a vehicle. The crash happened at the intersection of Duke Energy Trail and Nursery Road on Wednesday, May 8th.
