Winter Haven, FL - 9 Children Taken to Hospital Following School Bus Crash

Nine children suffered injuries in a school bus crash that took place in Winter Haven on Tuesday, November 27th. The crash occurred at Central Avenue East and 6th Street Northeast. At the time of the accident, 20 children were being transported from the Learning & Literacy Academy. The bus was struck by a 2004 Mercedes when the Mercedes pulled in front of the bus and crashed into its side. An ambulance arrived on scene and transported 9 children to the hospital with injuries that were not considered serious or life-threatening. Union County, FL - One Student Sent to Hospital After Bus Crash

One student was sent to the hospital following a bus crash that occurred in Union County on Thursday, November 8th. The accident was reported at State Road 238 and SW 9th Avenue between the bus and a vehicle. Police have not released any details on exactly how the accident took place or how many students were on board the bus at the time. Tallahassee, FL - Child Struck While Waiting for School Bus

Police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while waiting at a bus stop in Tallahassee. The incident occurred around 7:30 am on Wednesday, October 31. Police say that the child was walking across the street to get to his school bus when he was struck by a vehicle at Ox Bottom Road near Tuscan Drive. The driver of the vehicle is identified as a 19-year-old male. According to school officials, the bus had come to a complete stop and had its flashing red light and stop sign out when the crash took place. The driver was charged with two citations for his role in the crash. He has since reached out to the victim's family and offered an apology. Read More

Lake Worth, FL - Child Hurt in Crash with School Bus

A child was hurt in a collision with a school bus on Thursday, October 18th. The incident occurred in Lake Worth, according to officials with the Palm Beach County School District. At some point before 10:00 am, the student was injured by the bus at the intersection of Sixth Avenue South and E Street. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. Initial reports are that the child was injured but there is no indication as to the severity of the injuries. Largo, FL - Four Teens Hurt in Crash, Bus Driver Cited

Four teens were injured and a school bus driver is facing charges following a crash in Largo on Thursday, October 11th. Officials say that Bernard Lee Grant of St. Petersburg was operating a school bus on Ulmerton Road around 6:30 am Thursday morning. Grant was traveling in the westbound lane when he came upon a 2015 tractor trailer driven by William A. Morales. The tractor trailer was stopped in the roadway for a red light. Seminole County, FL - Twin Sisters Killed in Crash Identified

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the victims in a tragic, fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, September 30th. According to FHP Lt. Kim Montes, an Acura traveling near Lake Mary crossed over a double yellow line. The Acura struck a Toyota Corolla head-on. Aziya and Zmiya Gandy, 9-year-old twin sisters, were passengers in the Corolla. Sadly, both Aziya and Zmiya died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Cape Coral, FL – Mother Arrested After DUI Crash with Her Baby in the Vehicle

A 21-year-old mother was arrested on Wednesday night, September 26, after crashing her vehicle with her 3-month-old baby in the back seat.
