A 62-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on US 1 in Melbourne. The collision took place on Wednesday, July 17th. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Helmsman Place just before 6:00 pm. According to troopers, the unidentified man was attempting to cross US 1 when he was struck by a Honda Van. The man was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the van, 46-year-old Lisa Yancey, sustained minor injuries. One person is dead and another suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Northwest Miami-Dade. The incident took place near Krome Avenue and US 27. Police report that a vehicle was traveling on Krome Avenue when it crossed over a median for unknown reasons and slammed into a traffic signal. A passenger in the vehicle died at the crash scene. Marathon, FL - Man Killed While Crossing US 1

A pedestrian was killed as he attempted to cross US 1 in Marathon on Tuesday, July 16th. The crash took place around 9:00 pm. Police say that the pedestrian is a 70-year-old male. He was walking on the southbound shoulder of the roadway, near mile marker 49, when he was struck by a 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by 19-year-old Aidan McGann. Police say that the pedestrian was in the right-hand lane when he was struck by McGann's vehicle. Marathon Fire-Rescue arrived on and pronounced the pedestrian dead just after 9:00 pm. Middleburg, FL - Bicyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicle on County Road 218

A man from Middleburg was killed in a crash between his bicycle and a vehicle on County Road 218. The crash happened on Wednesday, July 17th around 2:00 pm. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Pine Tree Lane in reference to a car vs. bicycle crash. When troopers arrived, they located a 69-year-old man suffering from critical injuries. The man was later pronounced dead from the injuries sustained in the collision. He has not been identified at this time. Officials report that the man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a GMC Envoy that was attempting to make a right turn. Naples, FL - One Dead in Crash Between Car and Commercial Truck

A crash between a car and a commercial vehicle in Naples left a man dead on Tuesday, July 17th. The incident took place on Everglades Boulevard N. near 56th Avenue NE. Reports indicate that a Chevy Impala driven by Anthony Mankus, 77, collided with a Peterbilt truck. The truck crashed into the left side of the car. Mankus was pronounced dead at the scene. Hialeah, FL - One Killed, Three Hurt Following Tuesday Head-On Crash

A head-on crash in Hialeah left one person dead and three others injured. The crash occurred on Tuesday, July 16th, around 5:00 p.m. Police responded to the intersection of West 16th Avenue and 60th Street following the accident. According to reports, there were two people in each vehicle. Two victims were airlifted from the scene and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition. According to reports, a 15-year-old was driving a stolen Toyota Camry and speeding when he ran a stop sign and collided with a St. Petersburg police vehicle. There were three occupants in the Camry and an officer occupying the police vehicle at the time of the crash. Plant City, FL - Passenger Killed in Crash on Wiggins Road near Highway 92

A passenger died in a single-vehicle crash on Wiggins Road in Plant City on Monday, July 15th. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that a car was traveling southbound on Wiggins, near Highway 92, when it left the road and struck a speed limit sign before colliding with a tree. A front-seat passenger in the car suffered critical injuries and died at the accident scene. The driver was taken to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two people were killed in a crash at the intersection of Brandon Parkway and Town Center Boulevard on Tuesday, July 16th. The crash took place around 5:00 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Michael Iacob was driving a Chevy Silverado pickup northbound on Town Center while a Nissan SUV was traveling eastbound on Brandon Parkway. The vehicles collided with one another when they approached the intersection, causing the Nissan to erupt in flames.
