Orlando, FL - Child Taken to Hospital After Being Hit by Car on West Colonial Drive

A child was struck by a vehicle in Orlando on Monday night, September 16th. The crash took place in the 4800 block of West Colonial Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the boy was with his grandfather when he got away from the man and ended up in the roadway where he was hit by a car. The boy was rushed by rescue workers to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover. Columbia County, FL - Fatal Crash Between Car and Two Semi-Trucks on I-75

The Florida Highway Patrol was on the scene of a fatal crash in Columbia County on Tuesday, September 17th. Authorities responded to the accident in the southbound lanes of I-75. According to troopers, two semi-trucks and a car were involved in the crash. At least one of the vehicles erupted in flames at the crash scene. According to Lt. Patrick Riordan with the FHP, one person died in the crash. The identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the accident have not been released at this time. Gibsonton, FL - Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-75 at Gibsonton Drive

A 35-year-old man from Tampa was charged with DUI manslaughter after a crash on I-75 near Gibsonton Road on Monday, September 16th. The crash took place around 1:00 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Frank Joseph Fisher was traveling southbound on I-75 in a Ford F250 when he rear-ended a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, 23-year-old Chad Taylor Cagley, was thrown from the bike before it burst into flames. Cagley died at the scene of the crash. A middle school student was struck by a car on Tuesday, September 17th in Cooper City. The crash took place on Stirling Road near 90th Avenue. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the injured victim was taken by rescue workers to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. A 27-year-old man from Sarasota was killed in a pedestrian crash on US 41 near Gulf Gate Drive on Sunday, September 15th. The accident took place just after 9:00 p.m. According to reports, Johnny Edward Burns was in a crosswalk attempted to cross US 41. Oncoming traffic had the green light and a car struck Burns as he was in the crosswalk. Mulberry, FL - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with SUV on Tuesday

A motorcycle was involved in a deadly crash with an SUV on Tuesday, September 17 in Mulberry. The accident took place on State Road 60 near Pine Grove Road around 5:55 a.m. According to reports, 22-year-old Lance Strickland was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on SR 60. When Strickland came to the intersection with Pine Grove Road, an SUV turned into the intersection, causing the vehicle to collide with Strickland's bike. Strickland crashed into the front passenger door of the SUV. He was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident. Sun City Center, FL - Man Killed in Crash Between Golf Cart and Car Identified

A man killed in a crash between a golf cart and a car has been identified by authorities. The crash took place around 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 14th. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 77-year-old Janet Hassell was driving a Ford Focus westbound on State Road 674. As Hassell came to the intersection with El Rancho Drive, she failed to stop at a red light. Hassell proceeded into the intersection and struck a golf cart driven by Barry Myers. Marion County, FL - Fatal Crash Reported when Concrete Truck Strikes Car After Tire Blowout

A fatal crash was reported on I-75 in Marion County on Monday, September 16th. The crash took place near the exit for State Road 326. According to reports, a concrete truck was traveling northbound on I-75 when the truck had a tire blowout. The driver lost control following the blowout and ended up in the southbound lanes of the highway. The truck then hit a guardrail before it overturned.
