Osceola County, FL - Motorcyclist Sustains Critical Injuries in I-4 Crash

A motorcyclist was seriously hurt after colliding with a vehicle on I-4 near Championsgate. The accident happened near mile marker 58. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist had to be airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition. The crash caused delays for motorists along I-4 as traffic backed up around the crash scene. Police have not identified the motorcyclist or described the vehicle involved. Jacksonville, FL - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicle on San Jose Boulevard

A young motorcyclist lost his life in a crash on San Jose Boulevard, near Loretto Road, on Tuesday, March 19th. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 8:00 p.m. Investigators were able to determine that 20-year-old Alexander Dennis was riding his motorcycle on San Jose when he collided with a Volkswagen. Amelia Island, FL - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicle on State Road A1A

A motorcyclist is dead following a crash with a vehicle on State Road A1A. Police have identified the victim as 34-year-old Jason Bittner, of Fernandina Beach. Troopers say that Bittner was riding his motorcycle northbound on SR A1A on Sunday, March 17th. At the same time, a Lexus RX330 was traveling southbound on A1A and attempted to turn left onto Amelia Island Parkway. The Lexus turned directly into Bittner's path, causing the two to collide with one another. Bittner and his passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle. Pasco County, FL - David Clair Brasington Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Rancho Del Rio

A motorcyclist from New Port Richey died in a crash with a vehicle on Saturday, March 16th. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have identified the victim as 59-year-old David Clair Brasington. Authorities were dispatched to the intersection of Rancho Del Rio and Via Segovia around 12:49 p.m. in reference to the crash. Following an investigation, it was determined that Tajh Latrail Martin was driving a 2003 Toyota Celica northbound on Via Segovia. Martin stopped at a stop sign at the intersection before proceeding into the intersection and striking the rear of Brasington's motorcycle. Oldsmar, FL - Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Tampa Road

A motorcyclist sustained injuries in a crash along Tampa Road on Friday, March 15th. Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol report that 24-year-old Zachary Mortara was riding his motorcycle westbound on Tampa Road around 11:40 p.m. That is when 18-year-old Kyle Gerber, driving a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, attempted to make a U-turn from the westbound lanes of Tampa Road. Gerber made the U-turn directly in front of Mortara's motorcycle and the two collided. Mortara was taken to a local hospital following the crash. Ocala, FL - Woman Riding Three-Wheel Motorcycle Killed in Rear-End Crash

A woman is dead after being struck from behind while riding a three-wheel motorcycle on State Road 40 in the Ocala National Forest on Thursday, March 14th. The woman, who has not been identified, was on SR-40 when she slowed down to make a turn onto Forest Road 88. A Ford Focus, driven by 32-year-old Joseph Bailey, was traveling directly behind the motorcycle. Bailey failed to slow down and struck the motorcycle from behind, which threw the woman from the bike and caused her to land on the shoulder of the highway. Pasco County, FL - One Dead, One Critically Hurt in Sunday Motorcycle Crash

A 22-year-old man from Dade City was killed and his 20-year-old passenger was critically hurt in a crash between a motorcycle and a car on Sunday, March 10th. The crash happened on US-301 around 8:30 p.m., near the intersection with Pioneer Museum Road. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol report that Markus Cody Rutland was riding a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja on the highway. 20-year-old Shelby Lynn Powell was a passenger on the motorcycle. At the same time, a 1994 Chevrolet K1500, driven by 30-year-old John Eric Belcher, came to a stop sign on Pioneer Museum Road. Belcher stopped and the stop sign and traveled across the northbound lanes of US-301 when he collided with the motorcycle driven by Rutland. St. Petersburg, FL - 59-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Colliding with Vehicle

A woman was critically injured when her motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Tyrone Boulevard, near 13th Avenue North, on Friday, March 8th. The St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the accident scene. Officers report that 59-year-old Terri Heisele was riding a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle in a northwest direction on Tyrone Boulevard. Heisele was in the curbside lane when she struck a 2015 Infiniti sedan. The Infiniti was attempting to turn eastbound on 13th Avenue when the side of the car collided with Heisele's motorcycle. Heisele was critically injured in the accident and was rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment. The Infiniti driver was not injured. Read More

Cape Coral, FL - Justin Bent Killed in Saturday Motorcycle Crash

A 35-year-old man from Cape Coral lost his life in a tragic motorcycle crash that took place on US-41 on Saturday, March 9th. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol have identified the deceased motorcyclist as Justin Bent. Police say that Bent was riding a 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan on US-41 near Arrowhead Boulevard around 3:00 p.m. At the same time, 85-year-old Max Hamock was operating a 2019 Chevy Equinox on Arrowhead Boulevard. Hamock approached a stop sign but failed to yield, causing the Equinox to collide with Bent's oncoming motorcycle. Bent attempted to swerve to avoid a collision, but the bike struck the front of the car, ejecting Bent and throwing him onto the roadway. Bent later died from his injuries. Read More

Orlando, FL - 17-Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash with SUV

A 17-year-old motorcyclist died after her bike was struck by a Ford Explorer in Orlando on Thursday, March 7th. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Starr Elisala-LeBlanc was riding a 2018 Kawasaki on West Fairbanks Avenue, near the intersection with Edgewater Drive, around 7:15 p.m. That is when troopers report that a Ford Explorer, driven by 50-year-old Trina Minter, turned left into the path of Elisala-LeBlanc's motorcycle. She was pinned underneath the Explorer when rescue crews arrived at the scene and was taken to AdventHealth in Orlando, where she later died as a result of her injuries.
