Orlando, FL - Child Taken to Hospital After Being Hit by Car on West Colonial Drive

A child was struck by a vehicle in Orlando on Monday night, September 16th. The crash took place in the 4800 block of West Colonial Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the boy was with his grandfather when he got away from the man and ended up in the roadway where he was hit by a car. The boy was rushed by rescue workers to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover. Cooper City, FL - Child on Bicycle Struck by Car on Stirling Road

A middle school student was struck by a car on Tuesday, September 17th in Cooper City. The crash took place on Stirling Road near 90th Avenue. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the injured victim was taken by rescue workers to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation. Authorities say that the driver was given a citation for running a red light. Read More

Jacksonville, FL - Officer-Involved Crash with Injuries Reported on Arlington Expressway

A crash involving a police officer shut down the Arlington Expressway in Jacksonville early on Sunday, September 15th. The crash took place around 4:00 a.m. Reports indicate that a car traveling eastbound had a tire blow out around the time of the crash. An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. While the officer was waiting for a tow truck to arrive, another vehicle collided with the officer's patrol vehicle. Deerfield Beach, FL - Two Women Hospitalized Following Crash Involving Deputy on I-95

A crash in Deerfield Beach sent two women to the hospital on Sunday, September 15th. The crash happened on I-95 near Sample Road. Investigators report that an off-duty Broward Sheriff's Deputy observed a crash involving another vehicle and stopped to help. At the same time, an on-duty deputy was called to respond to the accident. The on-duty deputy lost control of her patrol vehicle and sideswiped the off-duty deputy's car, striking the deputy as well as the driver of the Corolla. Polk County, FL - 23-Year-Old Man Killed in I-4 Hit-and-Run

A 23-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Polk County. The incident took place on Thursday, September 12th around 2:18 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man was traveling westbound on I-4 near mile marker 55 when he collided with the rear-end of a white tractor-trailer. The man's vehicle then left the road and crashed into a fence and trees. The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Lutz, FL - Baby Hurt in Four-Car Crash on Van Dyke Road

An infant was seriously hurt in a crash involving four vehicles in Lutz on Friday, September 14th. The crash occurred on Van Dyke Road. Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office were on the scene following the accident. Deputies say that the crash was caused when a sedan failed to stop for a stop sign on Brown Road and crashed into another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Van Dyke. A baby in one of the vehicles was rushed to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt. Orlando, FL - SUV Driver Injured in Fiery Crash with School Bus

An SUV and a school bus were involved in a collision with one another on Thursday, September 12th in Orlando. The crash took place on Dr. Phillips Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. According to police, the SUV suffered severe front end damage in the crash. There is no word on exactly what caused the crash to occur. One adult and a child were on board the bus when the accident took place. The SUV erupted in flames following the crash. Rescue workers took to SUV driver to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment but have not provided any further word on the driver's condition. No one aboard the bus was injured. Read More

Lantana, FL - Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Stolen Vehicle

A woman suffered serious injuries after her vehicle was struck by another vehicle in Lantana on Thursday, September 12th. The crash occurred at the intersection of Ocean and Broadway. According to reports, three people were inside a stolen vehicle when they were involved in a violent crash with another car. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles into the front yard of a nearby home. The occupants of the stolen vehicle fled the scene following the crash before carjacking another vehicle. A woman in the other car involved in the accident was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. She has not been identified at this time and there is no further update on her condition. Manatee County, FL - Driver Critically Hurt in Red Light Crash on I-75

A crash between a pickup truck and a car sent two drivers to the hospital, one with critical injuries, in Manatee County on Thursday, September 12th. The crash took place on I-75 at the intersection with State Road 70. Police say that 32-year-old Nathan Teuten of Myakka City, FL was driving in the right lane of I-75 attempting to turn onto the SR 70 exit ramp. At the same time, 45-year-old David Michael Kulju of Tampa was driving a Toyota 4Runner, also approaching the intersection. Kulju failed to stop for a red traffic signal and entered the intersection where he collided with Teuten's vehicle and one another vehicle. Kulju suffered critical injuries while Teuten sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of a third vehicle involved in the crash, 19-year-old Julie Isabella Morrell, was not injured in the crash. Read More
