Starke, FL - Tractor-Trailer Driver Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Crash

A truck driver from Jacksonville was hospitalized with serious injuries following a hit-and-run crash in Starke on Friday, March 22nd. The crash, which involved to semitrucks, occurred on US 301 just after 9:00 pm. According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on 301 when it left its lane of travel and collided with another tractor-trailer. West Palm Beach, FL - Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Saturday

A two-car crash in West Palm Beach left a man dead on Saturday, March 23rd. Police were called to the intersection of 42nd Street and Broadway just after 1:30 pm. Upon their arrival, investigators determined that a green Dodge and a gray Acura had collided with one another. A man was ejected from one of the vehicles following impact and was later pronounced dead. In addition, three others were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Orange County, FL - Passenger Killed After Being Ejected and Run Over

A passenger was killed after being ejected from a vehicle and run over following a crash on SR 408 in Orange County. The crash took place on Saturday, March 23rd. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, three vehicles were traveling eastbound on SR 408 when one of the vehicles struck a cement pole. A passenger in the vehicle was thrown from the car following impact. That is when a second vehicle, driven by 33-year-old Rodney Alexis, struck the passenger while he was lying in the roadway. Miami, FL - Person Killed While Changing Tire on the Highway

A person changing a tire along a Miami roadway was killed after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred just before 5:00 am on Northwest Avenue. Police were called to the scene and located the victim upon arrival. An investigation led to the conclusion that the person was changing a tire on the side of the roadway when a vehicle traveling in the eastbound lanes collided with the individual. The victim suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead. Officers have not identified the person that was struck at this time. Miami Beach, FL - Officer Taken to Hospital After Being Struck by Motorcycle

An officer on foot patrol was hospitalized for injuries after he was struck by a motorcyclist at a Miami intersection on Friday, March 22nd. The crash took place at the intersection of Collins Avenue and Seventh Street. Officials say that Sgt. Phil Elmore was walking near the intersection when he spotted a motorcyclist traveling the wrong way. Elmore attempted to stop the motorcyclist but instead was struck. Davie, FL - Two Suffer Traumatic Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-595

A multi-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries on Friday, March 22nd. The Davie Police, Florida Highway Patrol, and Sunrise Fire Rescue all responded to the scene along Interstate 595, near State Road 84, after 12:00 p.m. Friday. At least two people sustained injuries in the crash and were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. The injuries were believed to be serious but there is no update on the condition of the injured victims. In addition, six others involved in the accident were evaluated on-scene. Flagler County, FL - Off-Duty Police Officer Among Those Hurt in US-1 Crash

A crash involving three vehicles, including an off-duty law enforcement officer was reported on US-1 on Thursday, March 20th. The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. in a construction zone on the highway. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of the accident. Police say that one of the vehicles jumped a divider at the construction site and crashed into a second vehicle before crashing into the third vehicle as well. A family of five was in one of the affected vehicles and an off-duty law police officer was in another. One man was transported to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach in serious condition. Indian River County, FL - Two-Car Crash Pushes Vehicle into Canal

A two-car crash in Vero Beach sent one vehicle into a canal on Tuesday, March 19th. Around 7:30 a.m., rescue officials were called to 69th Street and 66th Avenue in reference to the accident. According to reports, a blue Chevrolet sedan was traveling eastbound on 69th Street when it came to a stop sign at the intersection with 66th. Fernandina Beach, FL - Worker Injured when Car Crashes into Restaurant

One person inside a restaurant was hurt when a car crashed through the building on Thursday, March 21st. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office reports that a Ford Escape crashed into the front of the Parkway Grille. A worker inside was struck by the Escape and was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Fortunately, the injuries suffered do not appear to be life-threatening. Jacksonville, FL - 76-Year-Old Woman Dies in Head-On Crash

A 76-year-old woman died in a crash which took place near Panama Park on Tuesday, March 19th. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the scene at Buffalo Avenue, near 60th Street. Deputies say that Catherine Rosalie Moe was driving northbound on Buffalo when she was involving in a head-on crash with another vehicle. Moe was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died from injuries suffered in the accident. There is no information on whether the other driver was hurt in the accident. Read More
