North Fort Myers, FL - 12-Year-Old Girl Killed Walking Sister to Bus Stop

A 12-year-old girl was tragically killed while walking her 9-year-old sister to a bus stop in North Fort Myers on Monday, January 14th. Alana Tamplin was walking with her sister, Brooklyn, along Durrance Road to the bus stop about a quarter of a mile from their home. As Alana's sister boarded the bus, she turned around to walk home with another 12-year-old girl. Bushnell, FL - Passenger Dies when ATV Overturns

An ATV passenger died when the vehicle he was riding in overturned on Sunday, January 13th. 24-year-old Austin C. Craig was riding in the ATV around 9:00 pm on Sumter County Road 546 when the vehicle overturned for unknown reasons. Craig was taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Brevard County, FL - Three Airlifted Following Serious I-95 Crash

A multi-car accident on I-95 left three people in serious condition. The crash took place on Interstate 95 near mile marker 230 on Saturday, January 12th. Authorities with the Brevard County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the crash scene around 7:00 pm. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision though it is unclear exactly how it took place. Workers assessed the situation and determined that three people involved in the accident had sustained serious injuries. They were airlifted from the crash to a nearby hospital. Sarasota County, FL - Sandra Lee Kemper Killed in Three-Car Crash on Jacaranda Boulevard

A 68-year-old woman is dead following a three-vehicle crash in Sarasota County on Friday, January 11th. The Florida Highway Patrol Reports that the crash took place at the intersection of US 41 and Jacaranda Boulevard around 9:00 am. According to reports, Sandra Lee Kemper was traveling northbound on Jacaranda and approached a red light. She lost control of her vehicle and rolled through the red light. Kemper's vehicle struck a car driven by 20-year-old Yuriiy Tabakov. Tabakov was traveling southbound on Jacaranda when the incident occurred. Hillsborough County, FL - 15-Year-Old Boy Hit, Killed by Undercover Deputy

An undercover deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was involved in a fatal crash after he struck a 15-year-old boy on Friday, January 11th. The incident took place at the intersection of 124th Avenue and Florida Avenue. The deputy, who has not been identified, had a green light at the intersection. He swerved to avoid a pedestrian but struck the boy in the process. The boy suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. He has also not been identified at this time. New Port Richey, FL - Teen Airlifted After Being Struck By Teacher’s Vehicle Near School

A 15-year-old student was seriously hurt after being struck by a teacher's car while she was walking to school on Wednesday, January 9th. The incident took place outside of Gulf High School in New Port Richey. According to reports, the girl, who is a freshman at the school, was walking near a crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle. She was unresponsive at the scene and a medical helicopter was called in to airlift her to a nearby hospital. There is no current word on her condition at this time and she has not been identified. A crash involving three vehicles left one person injured in Indian River County on Wednesday, January 9th. According to Lieutenant Alvaro Feola of the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:15 pm near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Southwest 5th Street. Lee County, FL - Johnny Coleman Killed in Crash Between Two Vehicles and Tractor-Trailer

A 58-year-old man from Port Charlotte is dead following a crash between two vehicles and a tractor-trailer on Wednesday, January 9th. Authorities say that the crash took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75. According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer was stalled in the outside lane of Interstate 75. At the same time, two vehicles, a Nissan and a Ford, were traveling behind the semi. The Nissan slowed down as it approached the semi however, the Ford did not slow down adequately, striking the back of the Nissan and pushing it into the trailer of the semi. Miami Gardens, FL - Two People Injured in Tuesday Crash near NW 7th Avenue

A crash involving two vehicles left two people injured in Miami Gardens on Tuesday, January 8th. According to authorities, the crash happened near NW 7th Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive just before 8:00 am. It is unknown exactly how the crash took place, however, at least one of the vehicles collided with a light pole following the initial impact. The two injured victims were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Ocala, FL - Officer Hurt in Two-Car Crash on Sunday

A police officer in Ocala suffered injuries after a two-car crash on Sunday, January 6th. The crash took place around 9:30 pm at the intersection of Southwest 27th Avenue and Southwest 20th Street. According to reports. 21-year-old Victor Luis Hernandez Bohorquez was traveling northbound on 27th Avenue when he turned left onto 20th Street. He Bohorquez turned in front of a police cruiser driven by Officer Rebecca Letson of the Ocala Police Department.
