Pinellas Park, FL - Kanh Nguyen Killed by Driver Fleeing from Prior Crash

A 53-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a driver fleeing from two prior crashes in Pinellas Park. The fatal accident took place on Saturday, October 19th. The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the scene of the fatal accident. According to reports, 28-year-old Katlynn Smith had caused two prior crashes. As she fled from crash scenes, Smith ran a red light at the intersection of 66th Street and 70th Avenue around 10:00 a.m. Police say that Smith collided with a Lexus driven by Kanh Nguyn. Nguyen suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead. Smith also sustained serious injuries. Read More

Orange County, FL - Angel Dominguez Killed in DUI Crash Involving UCF Student

A 36-year-old man is dead and a UCF student is charged with drunk driving after a crash on University Boulevard. The crash took place on Thursday, October 17th. According to reports, Dean Kornblum of Boca Raton was driving eastbound on University Boulevard when he crashed into the rear-end of an SUV driven by 36-year-old Angel Dominguez of Sanford, FL. Dominguez's vehicle flipped over and he died at the crash scene. Kornblum suffered minor injuries and was treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Following an investigation, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol arrested Kornblum for charges of DUI manslaughter. Read More

Miami, FL - Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Takes Place on Northwest 20th Street

A fatal wrong-way crash was reported in Miami on Friday, October 4th. The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 20th Street and Second Avenue. Officers say that the accident occurred when a black sedan collided head-on with an Allasco truck. A passenger inside the truck reported to officers that they were waiting to make a turn when the car collided with them head-on. A woman inside the car was trapped inside her vehicle and had to be extricated. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died fro her injuries. Sarasota, FL - Driver Killed in Tuesday Crash on US 41 Identified

A 45-year-old man who was killed in a crash on US 41 has been identified. The crash happened on Tuesday, October 1st around 5:00 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Edward Fogarty left a driveway on US 41 near Cass Way when he traveled into the southbound lanes of US 41. Fogarty drove directly into the path of a pickup truck driven by John Gustin. Gustin swerved to avoid a crash but still collided with Fogarty's vehicle. Gustin's truck entered the median before overturning and ejecting him from the vehicle. Gustin was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue workers. Fogarty was not hurt in the crash. Read More

Sun City Center, FL - Man Killed in Crash Between Golf Cart and Car Identified

A man killed in a crash between a golf cart and a car has been identified by authorities. The crash took place around 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 14th. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 77-year-old Janet Hassell was driving a Ford Focus westbound on State Road 674. As Hassell came to the intersection with El Rancho Drive, she failed to stop at a red light. Hassell proceeded into the intersection and struck a golf cart driven by Barry Myers. Myers had a green light at the time of the collision. He was ejected from the golf cart and later died from his injuries. Hassell was not hurt. Read More

Manatee County, FL - UPDATE: Motorcyclist in Sunday Crash Dies from Injuries

A Bradenton man who was involved in a motorcycle crash on Sunday, September 1st has now died from his injuries. The crash originally occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 70 and First Street East. Police say that Floyd David Lee Laycock, 26, was riding a Suzuki GSX-R in the left lane of SR 70. At the same time, a 23-year-old unidentified driver was driving a 2019 Hyundai Elantra that was stopped at a stop sign in the intersection. The Elantra driver turned into the roadway and failed to see Lacock's oncoming motorcycle, causing a crash between the two vehicles. Lacock was taken to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries on Tuesday, September 3rd. Read More

Martin County, FL - One Killed in Crash on I-95 Near Mile Marker 98

A man is dead following a fatal crash on I-95 in Martin County. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the highway around 6:40 am on Friday, August 30th. According to reports, a 40-year-old man attempted to make a lane change. While changing lanes, the man failed to see a vehicle in his direct path of travel and the two cars collided with one another. The driver of the second vehicle, a 62-year-old man, was killed in the crash. Neither of the drivers have been identified by authorities. The crash remains under investigation at this time. Gainesville, FL - Four Dead in Fiery Head-On Crash on Southwest Williston Road

Four people were killed in a tragic, head-on crash in Gainesville on Saturday, August 31st. The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Southwest Williston Road. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol reported that a Toyota Highlander was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. That is when the Highlander collided head-on with a Ford Expedition. The Highlander caught fire following the crash. The fire eventually spread and overtook the Expedition of well. Fire crews arrived on the scene to extinguish the flames. The driver of the Highlander was pronounced dead. He has not been identified at this time. The driver of the Expedition, 54-year-old Jerry Leffert, Jr. along with his passengers, 75-year-old James Sweet, and 72-year-old Linda Sweet, were all killed in the crash. A third passenger in the Expedition was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Read More
