On April 12, a motorcycle crash occurred in Lafayette County. The rider, 43-year-old Charles Williams, was taken to Shands in Gainesville via copter.
The crash occurred on CR 251 when he lost control of the motorcycle and went off the roadway on the east shoulder. Williams fell off the motorcycle and was seriously injured. Based on the extent of the injuries, he had to be flown to the hospital.
He was cited for failure to drive in a single lane, operating with an expired license, and more in relation to the accident.
