Charlotte County, FL (December 16, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on I-75 in Charlotte County on Wednesday, December 16th. The crash took place in the southbound lanes of the roadway near mile marker 169 and Kings Highway.
According to troopers, the crash involved a semi-truck, car, and pedestrian. At least one person was killed as a result of the crash. The identity of the deceased victim is not known at this time. The crash caused all southbound lanes to be shut down while police and rescue crews worked at the scene. At this time, there is no word on the cause of the accident. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel and long delays were reported.
