Charlotte County, FL (May 22, 2021) - Police in Charlotte County responded to the scene of a car accident that took place on Friday afternoon. The crash happened along U.S. 41 near Midway and Ellery Street.
Both the Charlotte County Fire Department, along with EMS units, also responded to the scene. One victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries in the aftermath of the collision. That person has not been identified and there is no word on their current condition. The southbound lanes of U.S. 41 were slowed for regular traffic due to congestion caused by the crash. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel.
