Citrus County, FL (April 26, 2021) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash in Citrus County on Sunday, April 25th. The accident took place around 3:00 p.m. on State Road 200 at the intersection with County Road 491.
According to a report, a woman was driving a vehicle westbound on S.R. 200 when she came to the intersection with C.R. 491. A 63-year-old driver from Beverly Hills was traveling northbound on C.R. 491 when he came to the same intersection. The 63-year-old man failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the right rear of the woman's pickup truck. The truck traveled off the road and collided with a fence. The woman died at the crash scene. There is no word on whether the 63-year-old man was hurt. The FHP has not released the names of those involved in the collision.
