Citrus County, FL (November 5, 2018) - An 81-year-old man is dead following a head-on crash that occurred on Sunday, November 4th.
Around 7:25 pm, Joseph Raquel was traveling eastbound of Gulf-to-Lake Highway when he struck a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Andrew Gilman head-on. Gilman was driving a Toyota Camry while Raquel was driving a Honda Odyssey. Raquel was sent to Citrus Memorial Hospital for treatment but later pronounced dead. Gilman sustained serious injuries in the crash and was also hospitalized.
The crash investigation remains ongoing. No further information is currently available.
