Citrus County, FL (January 28, 2019) - One person was killed and another injured in a crash involving a Subaru Outback and a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Sunday, January 27th. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of US 19 near Turkey Oak Drive.
Officials reported that the Outback came to the intersection and attempted to make a left turn. As the turn was being attempted, the Subaru collided with the right side of Dodge Ram. 77-year-old John Wesley Wise died in the collision. Wise was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver, 74-year-old Nancy Lowery Wise, was taken to Ocala Regional Hospital with serious injuries. No one in the Ram was injured.
Police have said that alcohol did not play a role in the accident and charges are pending at this time.
