Clearwater, FL (March 31, 2021) - The Clearwater Police Department is investigating after a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, March 30th. The accident happened at approximately 10:45 p.m. along Keene Road at the intersection with Flagler Avenue.
According to police, a 16-year-old bicyclist was riding in a crosswalk at the intersection when he was hit by a car. The driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the collision. The bicyclist was critically hurt and was taken to All Children's Hospital to be treated. There is no update on his condition at this time.
Police are searching for the driver. There is no description of the vehicle or the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 727-562-4242. No additional details are available.
