Clearwater, FL (December 26, 2020) - A 47-year-old Clearwater man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, December 24th. The crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. on Belleair Road.
According to a report from the scene, a 24-year-old man from Temple Terrace was driving an SUV westbound on Belleair when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle and entered the eastbound lanes. While in the eastbound lanes, he collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by the Clearwater man. The pickup driver was taken to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Police have not released his identity at this time. There is no word on whether the 24-year-old SUV driver was hurt.
An investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. No further details are available.
